After 10 years of anticipation, the restoration of the Victorian Conservatory at Wentworth Castle is complete. It will open to the public from Friday 8th November.
The conservatory which is one of the last remaining Crompton and Fawkes iron winter gardens has just benefited from a 2 year refurbishment which has involved the complete dismantling of the 128 year old structure and piece by piece restoration. New plants based on the theme of plant hunting from around the world were added last month and the final touches to the interpretation gallery will be completed today.
