Discover the delights of the Parkland

Beyond the Gardens over 500 acres of historic Parkland can be explored via the Monument Trail, a new 2 mile path that opened fully in 2008.

The trail is free to access, although a £3.00 car parking charge will apply if you use our car park. Please purchase your token to exit the car park from our admissions desk in the Long barn Visitor Centre.

The walk takes you through the beautiful countryside of Stainborough and links several restored follies and native woods. You will be able to see the Duke of Argyll's Column, Rotunda and Queen Anne's Obelisk during your walk. It takes approximately 2 hours to complete the route and trail information can be obtained from the Long Barn Visitor Centre.
