The History of Deer Parks in South Yorkshire

A Medieval Extravaganza

Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th September

Living History with the Savile Household

Discover how we lived in the 15th century in the days of the Wars of the Roses. The Savile Household - a group dedicated to re-enacting aspects of Medieval days from 1450 to 1500 - will present living history activities here in the Wentworth grounds. See how people went about their day-to-day lives, learn about the crafts and skills they needed, what food they lived on and how they cooked it. There might even be a skirmish between factions or a traditional game or two!

There will also be falconry displays at the front of Long Barn Visitor Centre, presented by by Andrea and Chris.

The majority of activities will take place between 11am and 4pm.

The Cutlers and the Tudor Succession

Spooky Stuff at Wentworth Castle Gardens

It's Halloween at Wentworth Castle Gardens

Ghouls galore and fun for all the family with lots of fun events and activities with a spooky theme.

Get in the spirit by dressing in your scariest outfit to follow our Halloween Trail and venture deep inside the mysterious Wentworth Castle Gardens to find all sorts of hidden clues. Pluck up your courage and conquer the Creepy Castle to find the Wenworth ghost. Come up with the best name for him and win a family day out at the Castle's "Santa Grotto"!

Saturday 23rd to Sunday 31st October

Daily 10am to 4pm. Normal Garden Admission prices apply.

Wentworth Ghost Investigation with "Seeking Spirit"

For over 18s only! Please note that this event may encounter terrain which is unsuitable for wheelchairs and buggies; we would advise discussing mobility considerations with us before booking.

Gift and Craft Fair 10am-4pm

A wonderful opportunity to discover a wide range of quality products from home and abroad at a Gift and Craft Fair located neat our Long Barn Visitor Centre. From hand-made gifts - including jewellery, artwork, toys and ceramics - to home-baked produce like preserves, cheeses and honey, plus seasonal plants. With more than 30 stalls, there's bound to be the perfect present for someone you love or a special treat for you!

Christmas Fair

Friday 3rd December

Traditional Victorian Market

A Christmas-themed traditional craft and gift fair around our Long Barn Visitor Centre which could solve many of your present puzzles. Even Santa has made space in his busy diary to come along and check out all the lovely stalls for gift ideas. There will be more than 70 stalls offering delightful art and craft work, tempting and tasty home-baked produce and gorgeous gifts.

Time: 12 noon - 8pm

Santa expects to arrive about 5pm!

The Gardens are open daily, April to September10am-5pm, last admission 4.30pm. From October to March, 10am-4pm, last admission at 3.30pm.
